Future Perfect is a once in a lifetime opportunity to cultivate your ambition as a theatre writer. Paines Plough are currently scouring the length and breadth of the country, identifying and bringing together the most talented and thrilling young writers between the ages of 18 and 26. Six young writers carefully chosen for their potential, will become the Future Perfect group. Channel 4 and Film Four have enabled Paines Plough to host monthly sessions, which will involve seeing the most exciting productions we can find, practical workshops and talks with the creators of inspirational work. During the twelve month period the six playwrights will have a constant exchange of ideas with the artistic staff of Paines Plough and access to actors in order to develop work. To become one of the Future Perfect writers please submit a play to us. Send two unbound hard copies with a letter including your name, address, telephone number, email address and age to… futureperfect Paines Plough 4th Floor, 43 Aldwych London, WC2B 4DN We CAN NOT accept submissions by email or on disk. All submissions must reach us by 1st August 2004. We will be interviewing shortlisted candidates during September 2004. The first meeting with our final 6 writers will take place in October 2004.
