CCAT @ Aberystwyth Arts Centre & Temple Bar is a three year (2003-2006) Interreg IIIa programme designed to develop professional relationships between cultural practitioners, artists, companies, and venues on both sides of the Irish sea and to raise the profile of the arts of Wales and Ireland both at home and internationally. CCAT will develop networks between cultural practitioners and facilitate cross-border touring by giving direct financial assistance. Applicants may submit applications for projects costing up to: £5,000 to £20,000 for performance touring £5,000 to £20,000 per presenting venue £25,000 for touring exhibitions £30,000 for co-productions on both sides of the Irish sea. These are not fixed limits, however a minimum of 40% match funding is required by the applicant. The CCAT grant will cover a maximum of 60% of project costs. Eligible expenditure includes: Touring, performance, exhibition fees, and salaries; travel and accommodation costs; project management, administration, marketing and publicity costs. CCAT welcomes applications for touring from arts organisations in the following disciplines: dance, interdisciplinary, literature, multi-media, music, theatre, visual art and co-productions within the Interreg region. 'Go see' travel awards are also available to develop relationships between practitioners and presenters. Visit www.ccat.ie for information on eligibility, work supported, and submission deadlines. The Interreg zone as defined by the EU includes the south east cost of Ireland - Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Meath, South Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow and the west coast of Wales - Anglesey, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Gwynedd, Pembrokeshire, Ynys Môn and Denbighshire. Work may be presented in English, Irish or Welsh, or in any combination of these languages. CCAT @ Aberystwyth Arts Centre & Temple Bar is part-funded by Ireland Wales INTERREG programme. It is an initiative of the Theatre Shop and Aberystwyth Arts Centre and in Ireland is managed by Temple Bar Properties. The deadline for applications is the 1st October though there will be quarterly submission deadlines in 2005 and 2006. Go & See Applications may be submitted at any time.
