By Greg Cullen NEXT WEEK, the heart warming story of Wales' most famous friend is reborn as Hijinx Theatre take to the road with 'Paul Robeson Knew My Father' on an 11 week tour of Wales and England. Opening in 7 days at *Whitchurch High School, Cardiff on Tuesday 21st September, this whistle stop tour will continue to Beaufort Theatre, Ebbw Vale on Wednesday 22nd September, before moving on to The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff for three nights from Thursday 23rd September to Saturday 25th September. Paul Robeson Knew My Father is a heartwarming, passionate and humorous play. Gethyn reflects on his childhood growing up in the South Wales Valleys. He remembers his search for his father against the backdrop of the 1950's. He retreats into a world dominated by Robeson's films and music, away from the secrets and lies that surround his identity....When a black road-worker moves into his community, Gethyn is convinced that Paul Robeson has returned to save him! This play makes a welcome return as Hijinx tour one of their most successful plays in a brand new production.
