Get It Together - Inclusive Dance Workshops     


Get it Together is an 8-day training programme for trainee dancers wishing to develop their skills in leading workshops for disabled and non-disabled young people. The programme will be based in Llandrindod during February/ March 2005. Led by Rachel Freeman of Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company, the event is supported by the UnLtd Millennium Award Scheme, Powys Dance and Community Dance Wales.

Main focuses include project management, inclusive teaching skills, planning, delivery and evaluation of workshops. The programme includes: 2 days planning, 5 days of workshops with inclusive groups (disabled and non-disabled young people age 9 - 16 years), 1 day evaluation and appraisal with continuous mentoring/coaching/training as required.

Two artists with disabilities will be selected as trainees for the project and will receive an allowance of £30/day. There is no fee for the programme.
