New Acting Course and Performance Opportunity from Gest Performance Training |

Acting and Devising Skills – 10 Week Course Gest’s new course is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in performing not only to build on existing experience and skills, but also to get fully involved in the creative process. The course will help you unlock your ‘inner creativity’. You will learn how identify and use stimuli to generate and develop ideas from scratch, through a variety of individual and group exercises. We will also work on theatrical awareness and form to help craft interesting, original and fully-rounded work. The course promises to be demanding but incredibly rewarding and a lot of fun. This course is suitable for anyone over 18 who has enthusiasm, a spare two hours a week and an interest in acting and devising - whatever their previous experience. At the end of the course, those students who are interested and can commit to some extra rehearsal and devising time will have the opportunity to take part in a 2-night public performance in Chapter Arts Centre on 14 and 15 May. Dates and times of these rehearsals will be confirmed ASAP, but by 7 February by the latest. Dates: Every Tuesday evening from 15 February 2005 to 3 May 2005. (No classes 5 or 12 April) Time: 7.45 - 9.45pm Venue: Room 3.18, Welsh College of Music and Drama Cost: £100 per person.
