THE row over the Arts Council of Wales's controversial drama strategy has moved into the political arena with Labour MPs criticising the Assembly Culture Secretary Tom Middlehurst who has asked the arts quango to provide "good news". Llew Smith, MP for Blaenau Gwent, has criticised the arts quango for failing to award a franchise for young people's theatre to the established Gwent Theatre. It is now facing the prospect of closure and has appealed against the decision.
