A REVUE celebrating the work of a Broadway icon. Co-produced by Opera Cocktail Productions and Theatr Mwldan, Side by Side by Sondheim is an anthology of his earlier work as a composer. Showcasing 30 songs drawn from many of Sondheim’s Tony award-winning shows, including A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Little Night Music, Follies, Gypsy and West Side Story, it’s a feast for those familiar with Sondheim’s work, and for newcomers a richly entertaining introduction to his exquisite melo- dies and delicious wordplay. Wit- ty, melodic, sophisticated and fun- ny, it is a tapestry of great show-stopping songs.
