Passion Cardiff City of Drama flings open its doors on Friday 8th July. Seven Cardiff venues passionate about drama, including Chapter Arts Centre, The Gate, Llanover Hall, The Museum of Welsh Life, the New Theatre, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Sherman Theatre, have collaborated to create this vibrant showcase.

Over 100 performances will take place across 29 days proving without doubt that Cardiff truly is the city of drama. And already we’ve got a last minute addition to the programme – all the way from Trinidad! The Trinidad Blue Devils join us for our launch party at Chapter on Friday 8th July. It’s a free event and features Caribbean dynamic drum and dance performance from a duo of blue-painted, horned and tailed, pitchfork welding Devils will tax you – literally – so make sure you have plenty of loose change to ‘pay de Devil fuh to buy bread’!

The Trinidad Blue Devils are presented by South Wales Intercultural Arts (SWICA). For details of workshops and how to take part in the Cardiff MAS Carnival 2005 contact SWICA on 029 2038 2094 or email
