Do you have something to tell me?     

During the summer Diversions festival 2006, Fishamble will produce a selection of brand new, very short works in a variety of public spaces, indoors and outdoors, across Temple Bar, Dublin. Audience members will be sent out to explore the cafes, shops, streets, flats and offices of Temple Bar and, as they encounter performers, will activate a play by saying “Do you have something to tell me?”
Your challenge is to write an original short dramatic work, specific to any site in Temple Bar. Fishamble welcomes imaginative, contemporary and innovative responses to this brief.
Competition Guidelines
• Each script should last no longer than approximately 10 minutes.
• Each script should be performable by one or two actors.
• Entries which show initiative and thought in locating and employing particular spaces in Temple Bar are encouraged.
• We welcome all kinds of dramatic works, styles, subjects or languages.
• Three copies of each script can be sent in a printed version to, Fishamble Theatre Company, Shamrock Chambers, 1 – 2 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, or:
• Entries may be emailed to with the subject line “Do You Have Something to Tell Me?”
• Entry is free.
• Competition deadline for entries is Friday, 16th December, 2005.
• Up to three entries will be accepted per person.
• Results will be announced mid-March, 2006.
• Winning entrants will receive a commission for their script, and will be expected to work closely with Fishamble towards production in summer, 2006.
• Scripts will be returned only when accompanied by a SAE.
