The people are awaiting a new Messiah, a messiah with a strange and, to some, frightening philosophy LOVE YOUR ENEMIES. Tickets: £6.00/£4.00 March 25th European Arts Company 7.30pm ‘A Slight Ache’ and ‘The Lover’ by Harold Pinter European Arts Company presents a fascinating double-bill of black comedies by Harold Pinter, winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize for Literature. In ‘A Slight Ache’, Flora and Edward notice a mysterious matchseller standing by their back gate. The old man sparks an eruption of buried fears and frustrations, with hilarious and shattering consequences. In ‘The Lover’, Richard and Sarah have been married for 10 years. Every morning he commutes into the City while she shows her lover ‘the hollyhocks’, All is not quite as it seems as dark fantasy and banal reality converge to dizzying effect.
