Anvil Theatre to tour Welsh Castles

Anvil Theatre to tour Welsh Castles Conwy based Anvil Productions announce their U.K tour of Shakespeare’s Macbeth which includes eighteen open air performances at Cadw properties across Wales.

This acclaimed, vibrant young company will be visiting Conwy, Caernarfon,
Denbigh, Rhuddlan and Flint castles in May before moving on to South Wales
with their already successful production of one of Shakespeare's best
loved plays.

The 14 strong company return to the North at the end June with performances at Harlech Castle and Canolfan Ucheldre in Holyhead.

Anvil, which was set up to give young talent the opportunity to perform professionally, working and learning alongside established professionals, were recently delighted when Prof. David Crystal O.B.E., F.B.A. one the world's foremost experts on the subject of language agreed to become their patron.
Professor Crystal was the consultant for the BBC Voices project in 2005. He became Sam Wanamaker Fellow at Shakespeare's Globe in 2003-4, is honorary president of the Johnson Society for 2005-6 and received an OBE
in 1995.

Anvil has gone from strength to strength attracting much critical acclaim most notably for their clarity and accuracy of diction and their interpretation of the text which they believe to be so important in the successful delivery of Shakespeare.
This, they believe, is why their audiences say time and again that they have understood the plays so much more than usual

All shows start at 7.30pm
