Sgript Cymru – Wales’ national company for contemporary theatre and new writing are offering tickets for just £5 to their latest production of Acqua Nero by Meredydd Barker. Acqua Nero, Sgript Cymru’s latest offering to the world of new writing is a dazzling and gripping play which skilfully switches between the chaotic last days of World War Two and modern day Wales. Dario Murazzo is desperate to escape from a POW camp, as his Nazi captors watch Hitler’s regime collapsing around them. In present-day Wales, we meet an elderly man of the same name – whose world begins to disintegrate as his family start to unravel the disturbing truth about his past. A fusion of secrets and lies, this is a production not to be missed! The £5 tickets are for preview performances on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd February 2007 at 8pm.
