Playing Around

Playing Around Ffin Dance returns to Blaenau Gwent with their new production, Playing Around on Thursday 8th March at The Met, Abertillery at 7:30pm.

A triple bill of dance that is exciting and fun.

Based in Wales, Ffin Dance’s style is modern and similar to the likes of Siobhan Davies, Richard Alston, and Diversions.

Set against the luscious sound of the Shostakovich Jazz waltzes, the dancers risk their necks on a lonely park bench. Take pleasure in the sheer athleticism of Silent But Violent. The company cut through space with daring speed as they probe into each other’s private lives with dark secrets to be shared. Well made…. satisfyingly rich patterns…complex enough to keep you alert Sanjoy Roy – Resolution!

In four preludes, the dancers produce a dazzling display of athletic grouping, resulting in a fresh and nail-biting ritual that is unique to each performance.

For a unique experience of dance, come along to The Met, Abertillery of Thursday 8th March at 7:30pm.

Tickets: £6, £4.50 concessions
