First exhibited at the National Eisteddfod ofWales this summer, as part of a special commission, Swansea Museum will be the second venue for DREAMMACHINE, which will then move on to Zeche Zollverein in Essen, Germany in October. DREAMMACHINE takes the form of a large wooden shipping container, which holds a dystopian image of the Garden of Eden. It asks the question: "what, today, do we have to eat from the Tree of Knowledge to return to absolute perfection?" Following an introductory talk by Emma Geliot, Senior Arts Development Officer (Visual Arts) for the Arts Council of Wales, we will hold a performance entitled Paradise Lost. |
