The highly acclaimed Forkbeard Fantasy return to the Sherman Theatre this Autumn with their trademark offbeat comedy and their own unique take on global warming.Encompassing film, cartoon, live performance and special effects, Invisible Bonfires brings the topical issue of climate change to life with Forkbeard Fantasy’s much-loved surreal and off-beat humour. Founded by Chris and Tim Britton in 1974, Forkbeard Fantasy has pioneered the mix of live stage action and film sequences, whereby the actors cross the celluloid divide. Chris and Tim Britton also co-direct and star in the show, playing the Brittonioni Brothers, who take the audience on a mishmash of a lecture tour on global warming, zooming from Outer Space to the Inner Atom. The use of animated sets, gadgetry and visual trickery, have disconcerting and hilarious results. Invisible Bonfires is on at The Sherman Theatre on Thursday 18 – Friday 19 October at 7.30pm. Tickets are £14 (Reductions £12) and can be booked from the Sherman Theatre Box Office on 029 2064 6900 or online at www.shermantheatre.co.uk |
