Two great shows just announced for next spring at the New Theatre Two exciting new shows have just been added to the already packed line-up for next year at the New Theatre, Cardiff. One a celebration of the swinging sixties and the other, one of Shakespeare’s most dazzling comedies.

Direct from New York, the swinging 60s musical Shout! comes to the New Theatre from Monday 25 February to Saturday 1 March 2008. The show follows four fabulous girls as they grow up during the liberating days of the sixties in London. With all the fashion, freedom and fun of the sixties, Shout! features the infectious pop anthems that made household names of stars like Petula Clark, Cilla Black, Lulu and Dusty Springfield.

Shout! features an amazing catalogue of the hottest hits of the 60s including new arrangements of Downtown, Son of a Preacher Man, Windy, You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me and Georgy Girl.

From Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 March Clwyd Theatr Cymru presents Shakespeare’s enchanting comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Rather than submit to her father and marry Demetrius, Hermia risks banishment or death to elope into the Athenian forest with her lover Lysander. Demetrius follows, chased by Helena, her love unrequited but intent on his seduction. In the woods a group of artisans - rude mechanicals led by Nick Bottom, are creating a play to perform at the wedding of Theseus, Duke of Athens and Hippolyta.

When Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the Fairies, quarrel, supernatural boundaries are crossed and magical forces unleashed in the haunted forest upon lovers and actors.

Both of these shows are on sale now and can booked from the New Theatre Box Office 0n 029 2087 8889 or online* at www.newtheatrecardiff.co.uk.

*online sales are subject to a small transaction charge
