UK PREMIERE OF ‘HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 – ON STAGE’ COMES TO CARDIFF High School Musical 2 follows Troy and Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats out of their hallowed East High safety and into the unfamiliar jungle of Lava Springs Country Club. This buoyant, light-hearted beach-ball of a show will be produced by StageDaze Productions and the performances will take place over the Easter school holidays in a specially constructed venue - the ‘HSM2 Arena’! This temporary 1000 seat theatre will stand in the grounds of one of Cardiff’s very own High Schools – Fitzalan High!

“We are absolutely thrilled to be staging the very first production of High School Musical 2 in the country”, says director Nick Mills, “and we are particularly excited about the unique way we’re choosing to present it.”

The company are now searching for a talented cast. Auditions for coveted principal roles as well as a large ensemble will take place over the next few weeks. A website has already been set up for prospective performers with information about how to book an audition. Log on to or call 02920 511 144

“Its a demanding show” says the show’s choreographer Emma-Jayne Parker “so we’ll be looking for people aged 16+ with tons of energy and enthusiasm, who are skilled dancers, actors and singers!”

The worldwide phenomenon that is High School Musical began in a small way as a made-for-TV movie on the Disney Channel in 2006. Two movie sequels quickly followed, and the highly successful stage show of the original movie proved an instant sell-out in London and on tour!
