'THE REMNANTS OF ONCE FINE GIRLS'by Stephen Todd.THURSDAY AND FRIDAY 21st & 22nd MAY.THE ROUND STUDIO, ABERYSTWYTH ARTS CENTRE. 7.45pm. Tickets £7.50 (£6.50) Next week sees the World Premier of a new play by Stephen Todd being presented at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. 'The Remnants of Once Fine Girls' tells the story of Sarah, a mid-wife working for Medecines Sans Frontieres in Darfur, and the difficulties she has balancing her political and personal life. A tragic death brings her home and disturbs the sense of who she really is....a very topical story, with the current expulsion of aid workers from that country. Stephen Todd's radio play, 'Proud Songster' was a winner of Channel 4's 'The Radio Plays the Thing' competition in 2007,and he has since had several of his plays produced by London and regional theatres. Tickets can be booked by phoning the Arts Centre Box Office on 01970 623232 or on line at www.aber.ac.uk/artscentre |
