This outrageous musical comedy hits the depths of bad taste - two theatrical producers scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop but the scam goes wrong when the worst musical ever made – SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER, unexpectedly turns out to be succesful!'The Producers' - adapted by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan from Brooks' 1968 film of the same name, with lyrics by Brooks and music by Brooks and Glen Kelly - opened on Broadway on April 19, 2001 and ran for 2,502 performances, winning a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards. It spawned a successful London production, running for three years, and a 2005 film... ...and now it’s coming to the New Theatre, Cardiff 20th-24th October 2009. Directed by Richard Tunley with musical direction by Rob Thorne Jnr this production is guaranteed to be a highlight to everyone’s theatrical calendar. Auditions will be held on 7th & 9th of July.
