The Riverfront Summer Sessions launched last month on Friday June 26 and a great time was had by all. It was a chilled out evening of performance and boutique market stalls with a micro-festival vibe. The next of the Summer Sessions will take place Stalls will be running from 5pm until 11pm in the foyer, so start saving your pennies as you will be treated to everything from vintage-inspired ceramics to fair trade scarves, vinyl, arts and crafts and hand-made fashion, jewellery and accessories. This will be a unique boutique shopping experience and will be the place to buy yourself or your loved ones a present or two that is a little bit different. The Open Mic part of the night will begin at 7pm until 11pm and will be hosted by local musician and performer, Jon Lilygreen out on the café terrace. Attenders can relax with a drink whilst being entertained by an array of local performers. Last time there was everything from poetry to storytelling and plenty of live music. If you’d like to be involved with Summer Sessions, The Riverfront would love to hear from any of you creative people out there, from fashion designers and vintage fashionistas to arts and crafts makers and even those selling something a little bit out of the ordinary.
