India Dance Wales's tours Tempest     

East meets West when India Dance Wales combines Shakespearen drama with classic Indian dance.

The Tempest, which is now on tour, is based on the south Indian classical dance Bharat Natyam.

It's a fusion of live music, classical Indian dance and storytelling, inspired by Shakespeare's classic tale and performed by artists from both India and Wales.

Performers include director and dancer Kiran Ratna, dancer Megan Lloyd, flautist Peter Stacey, signer Phillipa Reeves and Michael Harvey as Prospero.

The Indian performers include dancers Hemanth Kumar Venkatarama and G.S. Nagesh, singer Vidivan K. Guruprasad and percussionist Jayachandra Rao.

The Tempest is at The Dance Centre, Llandrindod Wells on Tuesday, November 13, Aberystwyth Arts Centre on Thursday, November 15, Blackwood Miners' Institute on, Tuesday, November 20 and Abertillery Community Theatre on Wednesday, November 21 and Taliesin Arts Centre on Thursday, November 22.
