THE Arts Council of Wales is condemned today for its handling of the disastrous Centre for Visual Arts in Cardiff which wasted millions of pounds of public money. The Auditor General for Wales, Sir John Bourn, says ACW failed in a number of significant ways to manage the project, leading to its bankruptcy and subsequent closure in November last year.
