PHILLIP MACKENZIE would like all young people to experience theatre. He has just been appointed director of youth at Cardiff's Sherman Theatre and is now busy devising his wish list. His plans include taking theatre into schools and staging street festivals. "I am trying to show young people that a theatre company can provide a whole range of activities," he said. "I'm trying to create conditions to give people information and experience." The Sherman Theatre has 10 youth groups working at the venue and Mackenzie is impressed with their talents.
