JUNIOR STARS FOR GEORGE’S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE NEEDED AT THE NEW THEATRE |
Calling all stage struck young girls! If you are under 4' 4" and between 7 and 10 years old, perhaps you fancy becoming a shrunken granny for a week and strutting your stuff on stage!Roald Dahl’s brilliantly funny and imaginative story, George's Marvellous Medicine is coming to life on the New Theatre stage from Tuesday 22 – Saturday 26 February. The show is looking for 2 young girls to play the part of George's Granny when she shrinks to mini size having previously grown to 20ft tall after drinking George's magic potion. Although this is not a very big part, the successful budding young actresses will get to scream as loud as they can and run rings around the other actors! They’ll also get to make an appearance in another scene as a large chicken. Altogether this is a great opportunity to appear on stage with the Birmingham Stage Company and to perform in front of friends and family. Auditions will be held at the New Theatre on Thursday 27th January from 4:30pm to 5:30 pm. Successful applicants will need to be available from Tuesday 22 – Saturday 28 February.
