Spectacle Theatre are about to start touring a new theatre production, ‘The Witch’ Spectacle Theatre are about to start touring a new theatre production, ‘The Witch’, written by Paul Swift, one of Britain’s most experienced playwrights for young people.

Set in 1930’s Germany, ‘The Witch’ tells the story of a family struggling to survive, when who you really are can be a matter of life or death. It was a time of fear, intolerance and betrayal, when ordinary people had to choose to go along with things, or speak out; to obey the law or stand up for what they believed was right. What would YOU do?

The programme is an active learning experience that encourages participants to engage with the themes and characters in the story and relate this to their own understanding.

‘The Witch’ will tour throughout Wales from Monday 7th February until Friday 11th March, and will see the company working with audiences ranging from Secondary School pupils through to various Community groups.

The tour will include a special performance for invited guests on Wednesday March 9th, and will culminate in a ‘Theatre For Young People Activity Day’ on 11th March, which is for anyone interested in Theatre for Young People in Wales and beyond.
