Anvil’s open air Shakespeare returns to special venues - mainly in Wales but also over the borders with an Art Deco inspired performance of everyone’s favourite comedy A Midsummer Nights Dream. This year’s cast reunites some favourite actors from previous Anvil shows with some new talent. Libby Edwards (Lady Macbeth and Katherine in Anvil’s Taming of the Shrew), Stuart Hudson (Prospero in The Tempest) Steve Bloor (Macbeth and Petruchio) James Beadle (Ariel)return to join Anvil Company actors Helen Green and Lukas Kirkby. John Evans, Philippa Taylor and Jade Fearnley join the company for the first time. The tour kicks off in Little Moreton Hall in Cheshire on Saturday, 18th June and then visits to Gwydir Castle in Llanrwst, Hay on Wye, Carew Castle, Llanerchaeron, Canolfan Ucheldre in Holyhead, Ruthin Castle, Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard as well as Staunton Harold in Leicestershire, Nottingham and Tarporley.
