Royal Welsh College’s Theatre Workshops now open to young actors aged 12 -20 |
|
We also offer Young Actors Studio (YAS) Courses for ages 16-20, which provide a taste of professional actor training. Auditions for these workshops are on 2 or 10 September 2011. “I really wouldn’t be here without the great help and support I received at YAS. YAS helped me in so many ways, both professionally and personally.” Sean, currently attending BA Acting course at East 15 Acting School. “In movement, voice and acting through song I learned techniques that I am still applying to my classes here and it has been a tremendous help. YAS boosted my confidence, built upon my positive traits and allowed me to improve upon my negative ones. Without YAS I wouldn’t be where I am and YAS is an opportunity that I wouldn’t want anyone interested in any aspect of theatre to pass up.”. Ricky, studying American Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College. YAS was established by the Royal Welsh College in 2008 to allow young people to benefit from the College’s enormously successful acting training. Many YAS students have gone on to study drama at here at RWCMD, as well as other leading drama courses such as Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance and Bristol University · Past students of the College include Rob Brydon, Ruth Jones, Craig Gazey (Coronation Street), Katie Stephens (Royal Shakespeare Company), winner of 2009 Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical Aneurin Barnard, as well as Eve Myles and many others in theatre, film and television |
