Wyeside kicks off their new Autumn Season with a show set to be one of the major Welsh productions of 2011. Frapetsus Productions bring the freshly written hilarious production of ‘Bred in Heaven’ to Builth Wells. This fast paced comedy inspired by the infamous 1978 film ‘Grand Slam’ follows a group’s trip to New Zealand to see Wales through to the Rugby World Cup Final. Once again, Maldwyn (Siôn Probert) returns to cause manic and mayhem following a late night epiphany. On this two month Kiwi tour we will see lifelong friendships made, relationship make-ups and break-ups, all under the watchful eye of tour leader Maldwyn. Can they follow God’s vision and help get Wales to the final? Can Maldwyn still stand after too many Mojitos? Can he stop looking at Shane Williams that way!? Maldwyn and his rugby mad friends take the audience ‘on tour’ with them. This fast paced comedy will follow the highs and the lows of following the heroes in red who grace Gods green, green grass. But remember, what goes on tour stays on tour! Directed by the Laurence Olivier and BAFTA winning Michael Bogdanov (Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre, Wales Theatre Company) and written by Jack Llewellyn, also the writer of Frapetsus’ highly acclaimed comedies Whose Coat is That Jacket? and I'll Be There in a Minute Now! Expect nothing less than a night of hilarity, some heart rendering moments and the sharpest of one-liners. Bred in Heaven is at Wyeside on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd September at 7.30pm, tickets are available priced £10 in advance, £12 on the day and £8 for 18’s and under.
