Incubator - Creative Development Project - Call for Submissions |
Incubator is a platform for artists and companies to develop new work in partnership with Wales Millennium Centre.The aim is produce a performance outcome for both a public and specially invited audience of arts professionals. Incubator runs all year round with opportunities to share work in the autumn and spring Weston Studio seasons. One of these performance opportunities is coming up. If you’d like the opportunity to work towards a performance on Thu 3 Nov please submit your application by 23 September. “The incubator project is a great opportunity for theatre makers in Wales to try out their work in a supportive environment. The incubator project provides a platform for future exciting theatre in Wales.” Dirty Protest – Incubator 2010 The Incubator Project is a test bed for creation, a hub for development and an opportunity to grow networks and receive feedback Who can apply? •Incubator is open to artists and companies who are from Wales or are currently working in Wales, and are looking for support to develop their work and practice •We welcome applications for Welsh or English language work in theatre, dance, circus, site specifi c work, digital or online art forms •The Incubator week will run between Sun 30 Oct – Thu 3 Nov (all applicants must be available during these dates) We offer: •rehearsal space for a period of intensive development •space for the showing of work and facilitated feedback through feedback forms, fi ve minute forums and face to face at the end of the performance evening •technical, marketing and front of house support •Specialised help, advice and expertise from members of the Centre’s staff and its partners in the form of presentations, group and one-to-one meetings •We also offer rehearsal space to all groups during the run up to the Incubator week. We may not be able to offer the same space everyday but will always try to accommodate the group’s needs. Plus •a financial contribution towards the development of the work to use towards performers fees, production costs or marketing.
