New Critics Day – Join the Debate

New Critics Day – Join the Debate Join Literature Wales and National Theatre Wales on Saturday 1 October for an afternoon of discussion, debate and an exclusive insight into the world of critical writing from some of the UK’s leading arts critics. The New Critics event will be held in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff from 1.30 pm to 7.00 pm.

The line-up will include Guardian critics Lyn Gardner and Elisabeth Mahoney, noted theatre critics Matt Wolf and Aleks Sierz, Literature Wales and National Theatre Wales’ New Critics and many more. The event will be opened by National Theatre Wales’ Artistic Director, John E McGrath and conclude with a drinks reception in Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama’s spectacular new foyer space.

Launched in March 2010, the New Critics Programme was a new initiative aimed at boosting arts criticism in Wales by offering a group of budding critics one-to-one mentoring with an experienced arts critic.

Whether you are a professional or an armchair critic, an arts administrator, emerging writer or simply a keen theatre-goer, this is a great opportunity to get a unique insight into the world of critical debate.

Tickets for this event are free, however they should be reserved in advance. For more information and to book your free tickets contact Literature Wales on:
