Aberystwyth Arts Centre and theatres around the UK have been invited to join the BBC in its search for new talent. We’re looking for two professional, versatile actors who could work with the BBC Radio Drama Company. We will run an audition at the Arts Centre for 8-10 shortlisted actors with a BBC Wales Radio Drama Producer on Sunday 22nd January 2012 . Applicants must also be available for Semi-Finals in London on 14th February and Finals on 19th-20th March 2012. They must also be willing to be based in London from 21st July for 5 months if they are one of the two successful candidates. The BBC Norman Beaton Fellowship (NBF) is a flagship initiative run by BBC Radio Drama. NBF was set up to broaden the range of actors available to Radio Drama producers across the UK by encouraging applicants of all ages from non-traditional training backgrounds. Actors must be over 18 and must not have attended an accredited drama school course but have some acting experience. If you would like to apply for a place at the audition, please send a CV (up to 2 sides of A4) and a letter explaining why you are interested in this opportunity to me by December 18th.
