Powerful visual theatre from Iran.

One of the highlights of the Tehran International Festival of Theatre,Theatre Bazi's UK tour represents the first visit of Iranian theatre to
these shores since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

THAT'S ENOUGH! SHUT UP!
A dreamworld - in the apparent safety of a child's world of make believe and fantasy - where in the traditional guise of a fairy tale, good may triumph over evil. Pinnochio tells the story of his and Don Quixote's arrival in Afghanistan to prevent the destruction of Buddha's giant images, and their subsequent capture by the Taliban forces.

This poignant juxtaposition of the two worlds, of fantasy and reality, leaves the spectator both amused and moved but also deeply disturbed.
Haunting and beautiful, creating a rich and moving tapestry of ideas, this piece is dedicated to the children of Afghanistan and deserves as wide an exposure as possible.

THEATRE BAZI
Theatre Bazi was founded by actor/director Attila Pessyani. Attila trained with Peter Brook, Tadeusz Kantor and Yoshi Oida, and his productions echo these western influences as well as Iranian passion plays and rouhouzi, a form of commedia dell'arte.
