Earthfall make a splash with ‘Turning Tides’ Bath Spa University. |
Earthfall’s Education and Participation Programme are running a physical theatre programme, in collaboration with RWCMD music students and Bath Spa University dance students, on Friday 17th February. The piece is based on the themes of Earthfall’s current touring show ‘At Swim Two Boys’. The final devised performance will be a site specific performance situated in Green Park Station, Bath. The group of second year students, will work hand in hand with Earthfall’s artistic director Jess Cohen, dance tutors Sarah Rogers and Beth Powlesland. ‘Turning Tides’ is a unique piece of dance, extreme physicality and live music, reflective of Earthfall’s distinctive style. The companies’ week long residency process is culminating in a public performance at 18:30 on Friday 17th at the disused Green Park Station. This education project is reflective of Earthfall’s dance development process, each performer is encouraged to draw upon their own unique creativity to inform their work. This professional development residency has an established reputation for exciting site specific work, for example: last years performance took place in an underground car park. ‘Turning Tides’ will be on Friday 17th at the Green Park Station. Tickets are free of charge, to look at the project in more detail please visit: www.bathspampa.com For further information about the performance please contact Sarah Rogers on apprentice@earthfall.org.uk or call 02920 221314 and for more information on Earthfall’s current touring production of ‘At Swim Two Boys’ visit: www.atswimtwoboys.com.
