Earthfall make a splash in Sell out London tour, At Swim Two Boys, now returning to Wales.
The return of Earthfall’s award winning production staged entirely in water.

Earthfall’s sell-out production of At Swim Two Boys, based on the novel of the same name by Jamie O’Neill, will be touring Wales between March 6th - April 25th. After spending three weeks sold out at The Riverside Studios, London, Wales welcomes back the production to its original host venue Chapter’s Chapter: 6-10th March, directly after, At Swim Two Boys travels North to Aberystwyth Arts Centre, 12th-13th March and Galeri in Caernarfon, 23rd March and will be finishing back in Wales at Newport’s Riverfront Theatre on 25th April.

After the performance’s recognised success in its Autumn run last year, this revival is now touring UK wide once again. Featuring two male dancers and two musicians, the production comes to life in a slowly filling lake in front of a wall of water. Episodes from the book are woven together through a fusion of extreme physicality, original live music and film.

DYNAMIC DANCE MUSIC AND FILM

Set in Ireland in 1916, the story juxtaposes the developing love affair between two young men coming of age against the turbulent welfare of Ireland, At Swim Two Boys illustrates the contrast of slaughter on the Western Front against the dream of national liberation and the search for personal freedom

‘**** “As with all Earthfall shows, this is no ordinary performance...
…a major piece of dance theatre which manages to engage, excite and exhilarate almost to the point of exhaustion.”
The Western Mail

“Disturbingly brilliant hi-octane physical dance theatre”
Time Out, London

Jessica Cohen, co-artistic director commented, “A revival of this production in 2011/12 seems timely for us as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the publication of the novel and we are fortunate we are able to reunite most of the original creative team”
With the production staged entirely in water, Earthfall is asking their audiences to become “Water Supporters”. The show expects to use over 1000 litres of water per performance, consequently, Earthfall’s Water Supporters will help to offset this water usage. Supporters can give £20, £50 or £100, and from this 10% will be given straight to Water Aid. You can donate via the At Swim Two Boys website www.atswimtwoboys.com or by contacting Kirsty Thomas on 02920 221314.

The novel At Swim Two Boys was written by Jamie O’Neil and this production is choreographed by Jim Ennis and Jessica Cohen, with music performed by Frank Naughton and Sion Orgon and features dynamic dance, original live music, projection, live film and image.
