Tick, tick...BOOM!
"What Was That? Productions are thrilled to be returning to the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for a third, successive year, with their newest production 'Tick, tick...BOOM!'

Following on from the sell-out successes of 'The Kebabman Cometh' (2010) and 'Table Manners' (2011), the company tackles Jonathon Larson's (writer of 'RENT') first musical.

Produced by Aber graduates Alan Mehdizadeh & Steven Humpherson and directed by Aber graduate Adam Lacey, the show comes from the same team who bought Aberystwyth 'Godspell' (2006), 'Little Shop of Horrors' (2007), 'Jesus Christ Superstar' (2008). The show comes to Aberystwyth before potentially transferring to London and Edinburgh in 2013.

The action is set in 1990's New York. Jonny is a desperate Musial composer. He lives with his best friend Michael (who is enjoying vast success), and is in love with Susan (who has become "sick of competition" in the dance world).
Follow their lives, ups, downs and witness great songs such as 'Therapy', 'Why?', 'Jonny Can't Decide' and 'Louder than Words'.

The show stars professional actors Josie Brightwell (winner of the 2010 Olivier Bursary), American performer Bo Frazier, and exciting Aberystwyth student William Alder. The show also features Aberystwyth graduate Becky Renton, and current students Amber Lakin and Anthony Pude as the ensemble.

The production features live music, and plenty of pure, raw energy and emotion.
