Bryony Kimmings brings her show 7 Day Drunk to Cardiff’s Millenium Centre for one night only, on 4 May at 8pm.Performance art princess Bryony Kimmings is taking the show around the UK, her 3 sell out weeks of dates at London’s Soho Theatre have just finished, they even topped the success of her 2011 smash hit Sex Idiot. With a new scare story about boozy Britain almost every day should performers and artists set an example by not ‘ tanking up’ in order to ‘aid’ their creativity? Indeed does alcohol actually improve creativity? One woman selflessly made it her job to find out in a scientifically controlled way, so we don’t have to. 7 Day Drunk was created in a 7 day binge of scientifically monitored and documented intoxication in which Bryony pushed herself to the limits to investigate the link between intoxication and creativity. Importantly 7 Day Drunk will be performed 100% sober but at each performance one carefully selected female audience member is invited to drink a controlled amount of alcohol through the show to test Bryony’s theories.
