Flora, Fauna and Fairies at the bottom of the Garden
Following a hugely successful event at Chirk Castle, Wrexham last weekend, the National Youth Theatre of Wales and National Trust in Wales are welcoming audiences to walk through the grounds and gardens of another of Wales’ most significant properties, encountering a series of theatrical treats and tales.

Llanerchaeron (near Aberaeron) is the National Trust location for the Youth Theatre’s latest production, Torri Ffiniau / Beyond Border, this weekend – using Celtic stories, and the natural settings and formal landscapes of the property for inspiration.

Devised by young people with support from NYTW Artistic Director, Tim Baker, and his creative team, Torri Ffiniau / Beyond Borders, combines story-telling with masks, puppetry, movement and music – and some high-tech wizardry. A fabulous array of characters – gardeners, super-heroes and mischievous fairy-folk (to name a few), many supporting headgear to rival that of celebrated milliner, Philip Treacy – transport the audience through a series of tall tales and magical moments. It is a delightful experience for all the family.
