Friday 30 November – Sunday 2 December 2012 A weekend of stories, songs and music from Wales and the Wide Wide World! Aberystwyth Storytelling Festival returns to Aberystwyth Arts Centre for its second year, to warm the cockles of chill winter hearts, Friday 30 November – Sunday 2 December. Storytellers from all over the Land gather for a weekend of stories, songs and sea, music, mist and mischief, puppetry, pictures and prestidigitation, from Wales and the Wide Wide World. Familiar faces such as TUUP, Cath Little, Fiona Collins and Josian Fauzou return like mermaids from the sea mizzle, along with new friends Michael Harvey, Sarah Rundle, Christine Cooper, Your Man’s Puppets, Rebecca Woodford-Smith and Mikyoung Jun Pearce. This year the festival celebrates Stories and the Visual Arts, with 3 performances commissioned and created especially for the Festival, a mini festival of artist's fairy tale films in the Box, Zoe Childerley's exhibition of photographs Petrified in Storyland in Oriel 2, and live performances from our finest local storytellers, musicians and visual artists. Full details of the festival can be found on the website here http://aberstoryfestival.wordpress.com/ Festival Tickets are £25 and day tickets are available: Friday £8 (£6); Saturday £12; Sunday £12 (Children £6).
