Sherman Cymru presents children’s adventure story this Christmas in both Welsh and EnglishThis Christmas, Sherman Cymru will be touring a Welsh and English children’s show, The Snow Tiger / Teigr Yr Eira around South Wales from this November. Following the sell out success of last year’s The Elves and the Shoemakers, The Snow Tiger | Teigr yr Eira is the ideal Christmas treat for boys and girls aged 3-6, who like to hear stories, play with animals and would love to go on a great adventure… Based on a traditional Scandinavian story, Sherman Cymru commissioned children’s theatre writer, Philip Michell to create this enchanting tale. The Snow Tiger | Teigr yr Eira is centred around a little boy, Usko who loves to hear stories…especially the one about the Snow Tiger. He loves going off exploring too when nobody’s looking. Then one day he sneaks off to find the Snow Tiger but he gets lost! Usko goes on a journey into the snowy forest to help save the Snow Tiger from the hands of Baba Yaga. Director of The Snow Tiger | Teigr yr Eira and Associate Director of Sherman Cymru, Mared Swain said: “Sherman Cymru Christmas shows have always been a highlight for me whilst growing up. I used to attend them as a child so it’s an honour to be part of the creative team on this Christmas show. “As a mum I know how important it is to keep children engaged, interacting and learning about life. This production has themes of friendship and overcoming fears, plus a little bit of Christmas magic thrown in.” This enchanting and magical play is brought to life through storytelling, music and puppetry, and promises to be the perfect winter treat for your children ages 3 - 6. Sherman Cymru has a strong tradition of providing quality theatre for the very young (The Elves and the Shoemakers, Snow Child, Plum and Cinders) that combines story-telling, music and puppetry, all staged within a beautiful visually-engaging environment.
