Christmas is nearly upon us and it’s time to remember Christmas past with some vintage inspired fun. The Siren Sisters will be bringing their brand of nostalgic festive cheer to venues across South Wales and this time they have a very special guest with them. The close harmony trio from Cardiff that sing classic songs made famous by the likes of the Andrews, Boswell & Dinning Sisters have Craig Yates of top UK male voice choir, Only Men Aloud on board for their yuletide shows. The ‘Christmas with the Siren Sisters’ shows come on the back of the hugely successful ‘A Royal Jubilation Tour’ which saw the girls perform to enthusiastic crowds throughout the Summer at large theatres, festivals, street parties and even make an appearance on national television. Some of the highlights included a support act role for mechanic turned top operatic tenor Alfie Boe at Ponty’s Big Weekend festival and the support slot on Only Men Aloud’s tour where they met Craig. Sarah Perryman the founder of the singing trio said, ‘I am delighted that Craig wanted to be a part of our Christmas tour. It has been booked for a while and we were searching for the right man to join us. After supporting Only Men Aloud in the Summer and meeting Craig we knew he could play our ‘Bing Crosby’ type character. It has been nice to be able to surprise all our female fans with the news!’ Sarah goes on ‘The show takes audiences on a journey from Wintery Christmases in big cities to a sunny Christmas in Hawaii. Then we go to Hollywood and celebrate all of our favourite Classic Christmas films like Holiday Inn and White Christmas. It is a mix of whole group numbers, trios, solos and Jo is the lucky one who gets Craig all to herself in the duet ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside.’ The show has been described as an ideal alternative to those tired of the traditional Christmas panto. It’s a must see for fans of the fashion, styles and spirit of yesteryear. So stand to attention and quick march along to your local theatre this festive season, the Sirens are calling!
