Creu Cymru, the development agency for theatres and arts centres in Wales, is seeking a new Chair for its board of directors and trustees.

After six years on the Board, the current chair (Nicolas Young, Director of The Riverfront, Newport) is standing down, as required by the Company's rules. No other member of the Board, due to their other commitments at this time, is able to take on the role in its entirety. Creu Cymru is therefore
looking to appoint from outside the existing membership, either as a sole or co-chair. 

 Having looked at the post in detail, the Board believes that sharing the role between two people may be a suitable arrangement. Louise Miles-Crust (Artistic Programmer Manager at Wales Millennium Centre) is currently taking the role of co-Chair alongside Nicolas Young, and is prepared to stay on in that role, if appropriate. The Board is also happy to take expressions of interest from candidates who would be interested in taking on the role of Chair in its entirety. 

In recruiting a new Chair, Creu Cymru is particularly interested in enhancing the organisation's profile, advocacy and leadership. Expressions of interest are sought by Monday 17 December.
