Crashmat Collective tours the first circus-dining experience to Wales |
Cardiff-based circus company Crashmat Collective embark on their first national tour with their debut show, Façade. Opening at The Riverfront, Newport on 21st February 2013, the show will then tour across Wales throughout March, visiting venues in Wales and London. Façade is a unique new circus-dining experience created by the company of seven highly-skilled circus performers. The cast will be the waiters and entertainers for the evening. While enjoying a three-course meal, the audience will have an insight into the imaginary world of the waiters’ minds as their circus daydreams come to life on stage. Crashmat Collective is a new Cardiff-based circus company led by Paul Evans and Anna Sandreuter. Both have a long working history with the internationally renowned circus company NoFit State. With the support of Wales Millennium Centre’s Incubator project, the company have been able to turn this grand idea, which they had two years ago, into a reality. John McGrath, artistic director of National Theatre Wales, said: ‘Façade is witty, engaging and imaginative’. Award-winning playwright Alan Harris joins the team to create a tender and funny script which will transport you into the characters’ heads.
