Let’s Breathe in the Dragons

Let’s Breathe in the Dragons Mads Floor Andersen presents Let’s Breathe in the Dragons at Aberystwyth Arts Centre Thursday 11 April, 2013.

Mads Floor Andersen in collaboration with Jess Allen and Siriol Joyner, presents Let’s Breathe In The Dragons, a performative event which sets out to create moments of encounters, sharing and exchange, focussing on: Aberystwyth, home, memory and arrival, at Aberystwyth Arts Centre on Thursday 11 April.

Let’s Breathe in the Dragons is an experimental dance performance, exploring the relationship of movement and settlement, through a series of physical engagements and interactions between the body and the environment. This immersive performance will keep pushing the boundaries, till our bodies are ‘scattered all over this land’ (T.H. Williams), to reassemble them again and ask “what have I become?”

Mads is an artist and collaborator, using collaborative approaches to generate material for theatre, public and gallery spaces. At the heart of his approach lies the desire for constant awareness of oneself in the space of others. He is interested in the meetings of people and the space generated between them, as a creative and unique forum of: relation, collision, recognition and physical presence.
