JULIAN CLARY LEADS THE CAST OF THIS YEAR’S CARDIFF PANTOMIME! |
Cardiff’s New Theatre has announced that Qdos Entertainment, the world's biggest pantomime producer and the company behind last year's record-breaking production of Sleeping Beauty, is set to present another GIANT family pantomime this Christmas, Jack and the Beanstalk starring one of the nation’s most popular entertainers, Julian Clary. In his role as Spirit of the Beans, Julian is set to help Jack do battle with one very mean giant, help Jack find his true love and save the village in this year’s unmissable family pantomime adventure. Julian Clary has established himself as one of the country’s most recognisable and popular stage and television entertainers. He has turned his hand to comedy, acting, presenting, writing and he even performed as a novice dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, where he reached the final! As well as his autobiography, Julian has become an accomplished novelist with a number of best-sellers to his credit. He is a hugely-popular panto performer and has headlined some of the biggest pantomimes around the UK. This spring sees Julian taking to the road once again with his successful one-man show on a tour of theatres across the country. Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer for Jack and the Beanstalk said: “We’re delighted that Julian, one of the country’s finest entertainers and most sought after pantomime stars, will lead the cast in this magical pantomime adventure. Comedy will once again take centre stage in the New Theatre pantomime which is guaranteed to keep the whole family laughing until the final curtain comes down.” Grant McFarlane, Operations Manager of the New Theatre said: “The New Theatre always presents Wales’ biggest and best pantomime each year and this Christmas will be no exception. Julian has visited us twice before, but this will be his Cardiff panto debut - and we can hardly wait for December to come round.” Jack and the Beanstalk is pantomime at its best!
