JIMMY OSMOND GETS HOOKED ON THE GRAND THEATRE'S PANTOMIME, PETER PAN!

JIMMY OSMOND GETS HOOKED ON THE GRAND THEATRE'S PANTOMIME, PETER PAN! Swansea Grand Theatre has announced that the international pop legend Jimmy Osmond will be making a triumphant return to pantomime at the theatre this Christmas!

Jimmy, who took Swansea pantomime audiences by storm two years ago in a record-breaking production of Aladdin will be returning to the Grand Theatre for this year's pantomime, Peter Pan; though this time Jimmy takes on the role of the villain - Captain Hook!

The youngest of the world-famous Osmond dynasty, Jimmy's love for musical theatre has seen him appear in the West End production of Grease and then go on to star as Billy Flynn in the UK national tour of the smash-hit musical Chicago. He has also appeared in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jimmy's Osmond's American Jukebox and he has just recently finished an extensive UK tour of Boogie Nights - the 70s Musical.

As well as his time on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, Jimmy has appeared on numerous television programmes including Celebrity Come Dine With Me, All Star Family Fortunes and Saturday Kitchen. On top of the many world tours and records he has made with his siblings, Jimmy has six gold records to his credit and was the youngest ever solo chart-topper with his hit, Long-Haired Lover From Liverpool, which he recorded when he was nine in 1972!

Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer of the show said:

"You're guaranteed to be hooked by the swashbuckling pantomime adventure which has enthralled audiences for decades and is the perfect festive family entertainment. Following Jimmy's record-breaking success in Aladdin two years ago we're thrilled that he is returning to the Grand Theatre in this unmissable production.

"Peter Pan guarantees a treasure chest full of comedy, much seasonal silliness, magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes and stunning flying sequences, all brought magically to life by a terrific cast." added Jonathan.

Peter Pan is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world's largest pantomime producer and staged by the same team behind the theatre's recent record-breaking pantomimes of Aladdin and Cinderella, and will have the Grand Theatre's hallmark of outstanding value-for-money and entertainment for all ages.

Gerald Morris, Strategic, Finance and Operations Manager stated,

" We are thrilled to welcome back international star Jimmy Osmond to lead the cast of Peter Pan, in what promises to be an unforgettable pantomime season. Ticket sales are already flying out, so it is advisable to book early."
