GRAND THEATRE FAVOURITE - KEVIN JOHNS RETURNS TO SWANSEA IN THIS YEAR'S
SPECTACULAR FAMILY PANTOMIME PETER PAN!

Swansea Grand Theatre announced today that its spectacular family pantomime Peter Pan will once again star Grand Theatre favourite, Kevin Johns, in the role of Mrs Smee. This will be Kevin's 15th pantomime at Swansea Grand. The Theatre have already announced Jimmy Osmond's return to the theatre in the role of Captain Hook.

Whether you're watching Kevin live on stage or listening to his radio show its' clear that Kevin loves Swansea and South West Wales. He was born in, lives in and loves Swansea!

As well as his Breakfast show Kevin is one of Wales' busiest comperes and stage performers.

Known as one of the UK's leading pantomime Dames he has also appeared with The Wales Theatre Company and regularly appears with Fluellen Theatre Company.

When Kevin is not performing he is an active fundraiser for local charities and is Patron of several local charities including Harry's Fund and Treat Trust Wales. He is also proud to be President of Swansea
Male Voice Choir and Rising Stars Theatre Company and a number of other local charities and campaigns. He also follows his beloved Swansea City.

Kevin was honoured to be presented with the MBE by H M The Queen for services to charity in Wales. He has also been honoured by the South Evening Post Pride Awards and received the Ambassador of Swansea Awards
and recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Swansea City Awards Dinner at the end of the 2011/2012 season.

Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer of Peter Pan, said "This is Qdos Entertainment's third year presenting pantomime in Swansea and we couldn't wish for a better cast to bring magically to life the swashbuckling story of Peter Pan. Kevin is a fantastic pantomime renowned for his high-energy comedy which produces fits of laughter everywhere he performs."

This magical adaptation of JM Barrie's Peter Pan is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world's largest pantomime producer and staged by the same team behind the theatre's recent record-breaking pantomimes of Cinderella and Aladdin.

Kevin said "Ever since I saw a production of Peter Pan in the mid 90s I
have wanted to play the Smee role. I am delighted to be working with Jimmy Osmond once again; he is an outstanding performer and an International star! I'm also over the moon to be performing for Qdos Entertainment, as not a week goes by without someone saying nice things about last year's production of Cinderella and the previous show Aladdin. I can't wait!"

Featuring magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, an abundance of comedy and stunning flying sequences, Peter Pan will have the Grand's hallmark of outstanding value-for-money and entertainment for all ages.

Peter Pan flies in to Swansea Grand Theatre from Fri 13 December 2013 to Sat 12 January 2014. Tickets can be booked 01792 475715 or online at
