Summer Season of Open-Air (Undercover) Theatre in Chepstow Castle

The spectacular surroundings of Chepstow's ancient castle create a stunning backdrop for some of Britain's favourite professional open-air theatre companies who will be performing 10 different productions in the Chepstow Festival's summer season of open-air (undercover) theatre from June 15 to July 12, 2013

With productions ranging from "Babe the Sheep Pig" to "Dracula", "The Mikado" to "The Merchant of Venice" and "Sherlock Holmes" to "Sense and Sensibility" there is a performance for all ages and theatregoers tastes.

Shelter from adverse weather is provided by the Festival audience canopy. This giant, elegant, state-of-the-art tensile structure provides rain cover for over 300. A facility which proved vital in last years awful summer when four performances were staged in torrential rain and the audience, at least, remained dry! Picnics are encouraged and the Castle grounds open 45 min before the performances start at 7 PM or 7:30 PM.
