Frank Vickery's hilarious comedy, A Kiss on the Bottom, is at Swansea Grand Theatre from Tuesday 21st to Saturday 25th May. Monday to Friday performances are at 7.30pm and at 5.00pm and 8.00pm on Saturday. Following on from Frank's recent success with Breaking the String and Granny Annie, he returns with one of his favourite comedies, A Kiss on the Bottom. Three women are in The Royal Glamorgan Hospital for treatment: Grace is old and world-weary, nearing the end of her life, Lucy foolishly self-deluding and then there's Marlene, hopelessly optimistic. Each woman must cope not only with the uncertainties of her health, but with the inevitable secrets and half truths which are maintained by relations and nursing staff. It's up to Marlene, the strongest and outspoken of them all, to keep the atmosphere in the ward cheery. It's a task that comes easily to her and soon she is forcing herself into the private lives of Lucy and Grace. Her activities, which are sometimes maddening, although her heart is in the right place, makes her bedfellows' time in hospital somewhat more interesting than it would otherwise have been!
