From mellow drama to melodrama, Rhondda Cynon Taff Cultural Services brand new act 8 Drama Season features a brilliant comedy, a classic tragedy and a brand new production from National Theatre Wales. For all the drama this season The Coliseum Theatre is the place where it all begins with Mappa Mundi on Wednesday 2 October at 7.30pm with their energetic and colourful version of The Compleat Female Stage Beauty, this also for ages 16 and over. For a good comedy drama The Muni is pleased to welcome back our very own Frank Vickery and his poignant drama All’s Fair on Tuesday 1 to Saturday 5 October at 7.30pm. Also at The Muni on Tuesday 22 October at 7.30pm and on Wednesday 23 October at 1.00pm is the NEW Black Rat production Boeing Boeing, you will be required to fasten your seatbelts for this high flying breathtakingly farcical play. Also at The Muni Arts Centre on Monday 7 October 7.30pm & Tuesday 8 October at 10.00am is William Shakespeare classic Macbeth, this fast moving, exciting and accessible production of this ever popular tragedy is as you have never seen it before. Cultural Services is also thrilled to be working with National Theatre Wales in a 2 week residency at The Park & Dare Theatre as part of the centenary celebrations. Kicking off the residency on Thursday 10 October to Saturday 19 October at 7.30pm is Tonypandemonium written by Rachel Trezise this raucous, raunchy and heartbreaking account of a daughter’s struggle with her alcoholic mother. |
