Boing! comes to Sherman Theatre as part of October’s UK Family Arts Festival |
As part of the first UK Family Arts Festival, award winning children’s theatre company, Travelling Light and Bristol Old Vic will be bringing their energetic and enchanting dance piece for kids, Boing! to Sherman Theatre for the Half Term Holidays from 30 October – 2 November. Adored by audiences of all ages, BOING! has attracted rave reviews wherever it has performed. Too excited to sleep, Wilkie and Joêl are drawn into ever more exciting games that turn their bed into a giant trampoline. The ensuing chaos guarantees to leave children bursting with excitement! Directed by Sally Cookson and choreographed and performed by award-winning b-boys Wilkie Branson and Joêl Daniel, BOING! combines comedy, acrobatics and breakdance to dazzling effect. They are joined by designer Katie Sykes, who will create a mischievous playground, full of scribbles and evidence of previous playtimes, and a quirky and whimsical soundtrack composed by Alex Vann. Travelling Light and Bristol Old Vic both have outstanding reputations for creating and producing theatre for young audiences and are highly regarded locally, nationally and internationally for producing innovative new work. Boing! will be at Sherman Theatre from 30 October – 2 November at 4pm (30 October) and 11am & 2.30pm Thursday – Saturday. Suitable for ages 3+. Tickets £7 (no booking fees).
